The voice of off-road bicyclists

About CORBA

Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists Association was founded in 1987 to serve the mountain bicycling community of Los Angeles and surrounding areas including southern Ventura County.  CORBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to gaining and maintaining public trail access for mountain cyclists and the public at-large.  CORBA encourages and promotes the safe and environmentally responsible use of unpaved roads and trails for bicycling and to educate the public about all aspects of off-road cycling and trails.

Our federal tax identification number is 95-4124454. Our California charity registration number is #074399.

CORBA Palos Verdes
(CORBA-PV) was formed in 2005 to address access to open space in the Palos Verdes area.  CORBA helped purchase 422 acres of land to create the Portuguese Bend Nature Preserve, protecting it from development for public benefit.

CORBA Trail Programs

CORBA is a committed to stewardship of our local trails and open space, and we give back to Southern California with our community-based programs that are run by dedicated volunteers. CORBA's programs are open to members and non-members with an interest in getting involved and having fun.  We are always looking for people who are passionate about mountain biking and parklands and are willing to volunteer their time, effort and skills.

Our programs include:

Advocacy

Working with public agencies and the community to maintain public access on public lands and to open multi-use trails.

Trail Crew

CORBA deploys volunteer trail work crews to build new trails, maintain and repair existing trails.

Youth Adventures

Providing free mountain biking day trips for inner-city and at-risk youth.

Free Mountain Biking Skills Clinics
